Join me and Lucy to celebrate all things summer in the magical forest of Sintra!
This 2.5hr workshop will include a fire Yin & Yang Yoga practice, Reiki healing, Yoga Nidra and we will cool down all the fire of the summer energy with some seasonal Ayurvedic snacks!
Summer is governed by the element of fire - a time for warmth, transformation and dynamism. The Yin & Yang practice will be designed around the energy of fire and the heart, making for a dynamic and joyful practice.
After the Yoga we will settle down for some Reiki healing to further calm the subtle energy body and sooth the nervous system. To finish I will guide us through a heart centred Yoga Nidra and we will have some time for 'conscious rest' to integrate all we have practiced together.
Seasonal, Sattvic cooling snacks will be provided to help to balance all the warmth of the summer energy. In Ayurveda, Sattvic qualities refer to all that is pure and harmonious. Practices that create a 'flow' state for us such as Yoga and meditation would be described as Sattvic activities. In terms of food it would be associated with all that is seasonal, fresh, light and prepared in a loving and clean environment - it is made with the intention of nourishing and caring for whoever eats it.
Drawing from Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, this workshop will help you to use ancient healing practices for modern times as we honour and work with the seasons within and around us.

Having originally trained in Hatha/Ashtanga, Lucy now practices and teaches in a much more embodied way, allowing space to drop out of the mind and into the body.
She uses a combination of Yoga Asana, somatic movement and breathwork to rebalance and calm the nervous system. These have been the practices that have been most profound in her own personal practice.
Lucy's style is soft, fluid and often breath led. There's no strict alignment, just you and your body, however, it needs to be in that moment.
